Trump says Nobel Peace Prize snub freed him to pursue Greenland takeover
US President Donald Trump says missing out on the Nobel Peace Prize has changed his outlook on global diplomacy.
In a letter to Norway’s Prime Minister, Jonas Gahr Støre, Trump accused the country of denying him the prize despite what he described as stopping multiple wars, adding that he now feels free to pursue actions he believes serve US interests, including his controversial plan to annex Greenland.
Trump said peace would remain important, but no longer his sole consideration.
