NUC Approves 11 New Postgraduate Programmes for Atiba University, Oyo The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 11 new postgraduate programmes for Atiba University Oyo (AUO), Oyo State, covering PGD, Master’s, and PhD levels.
The approval was conveyed in a letter to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sunday Olawale Okeniyi, signed by NUC’s Director of Academic Planning, Abubakar M. Girei.
The approval follows a thorough resource verification by panels of experts, ensuring the university meets the required standards for the new courses. The programmes, effective from the 2025/2026 academic session, include Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, Computer Science, Political Science, International Relations, Economics, Sociology, English, Nursing, and an MBA in Business Administration.
Commenting on the development, the President and Founder, James Adesokan Ojebode, PhD, congratulated the entire Atiba University community for the milestone, describing it as a “golden opportunity” to strengthen the institution’s academic offerings.
