Mrs. Ajọke Ejide Pedro, Secretary of TYF Europe, received and held the award on behalf of Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who was unable to attend the Global Annual Think Yoruba First Conference in Lagos.

In recognition of his contributions to governance and the development of Lagos State, an award was presented to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu during the Global Annual Think Yoruba First (TYF) Conference held in Lagos. Owing to his absence from the event, the award was received on his behalf by Mrs. Ajọke Ejide Pedro, Secretary of TYF Europe.
Her presence symbolized the strong link between the Yoruba diaspora and the homeland, as well as the commitment of TYF members across Europe to the advancement of Yorubaland. By accepting the award, Mrs. Pedro ensured that the Governor's recognition was duly acknowledged before an audience comprising traditional rulers, scholars, professionals, civic leaders, and members of the global Yoruba community.
The occasion underscored the conference's theme of unity, leadership, and strategic collaboration, highlighting the role of both home-based and diaspora Yoruba stakeholders in shaping the future of Yorubaland. Mrs. Pedro's participation also reflected TYF's international reach and the importance of honoring individuals whose efforts have contributed to the growth and development of the South-West region.
